Laboratory of Organic Chemistry

My name is Dimitra Karaindrou and I graduated with honours from the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. My undergraduate thesis was conducted at the Laboratory of Organic Chemistry, titled: "Synthesis of propargyl amides with potential biological activity and applications as synthons", under the supervision of Professor Georgios C. Vougioukalakis.

My scientific interests focus on organic synthesis and its applications in the fields of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. Throughout my studies, I have participated in academic enrichment programs, including the summer schools of the NCSR "Demokritos" and international scientific conferences. At the same time, I have been actively involved as a volunteer at the Athens Science Festival organized by SciCo.
