Laboratory of Organic Chemistry

My name is Maria Papadimitriou and I completed my Bachelor in the Chemistry department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

The topic of my thesis was: «DATA COLLECTION, PROCESSING, SOLUTION AND PRESENTATION OF MOLECULAR AND CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF A COMPOUND USING THE SINGLE CRYSTAL X-RAY DIFFRACTOMETER.» My supervisor was prof. Chatzidimitriou Antonios.

My scientific interests focus on chemical compounds with pharmaceutical activity and enzyme function.

Biochemical skills: use of spectrophotometer, electrophoresis and isolation of plasmid DNA.

Analytical techniques: Potentiometric titrations, HPLC, TLC, NMR and Mass Spectroscopy (MS).

Digital skills: Sufficient knowledge of the crystallographic program Crystals and the Mercury program. Knowledge of the programs: LaTeX and Mathematica. ECDL degree.
