
My name is Aikaterini Vasilou. I am a Physicist (BSc, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) and a PhD candidate at the Laboratory of Organic Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). My doctoral research focuses on the metabolomic analysis of biological fluids using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), aiming to identify biomarkers associated with chronic heart failure and the response to biventricular pacemaker therapy.
I have an interdisciplinary background with three postgraduate degrees: in Networks and Complexity (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), in Medical Physics – Radiophysics (University of Patras), and in Special Education (Frederick University). Professionally, I work in secondary education and also have clinical experience as a Medical Physicist.
My research contributions include publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and presentations at international conferences.
