My name is Mary Vrachna, I am a graduate of the Department of Chemistry of the Unversity of Crete.

My thesis was entitled “Study of ATP as a substrate of 15-Lipoxygenase-1” supervised by Mr. Nikolaos Eleftheriadis.

My scientific interests focus on the organic synthesis of biomolecules, biochemistry and medicinal chemistry.

Biochemical skills: Protein expression, Purification, Bradford method, SDS-PAGE, ATPase Activity Assay, Screening, Enzyme Inhibition, Enzyme kineticts studies, Capillary isolation, Immunocytochemistry.

Analytical techniques: Gas/Liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry
