Laboratory of Organic Chemistry

My name is Kyriaki (Korina) Kontoroucha, and I am a fourth-year undergraduate student in the Department of Chemistry at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
My thesis focuses on the development of green and innovative organocatalytic or photochemical reactions and their application in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals or compounds of pharmacological interest, under the supervision of Professor Christoforos Kokotos.
I am interested in Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, and the Biosciences, and I aim to deepen my knowledge in modern synthetic methodologies and in the design of bioactive molecules.
