Laboratory of Organic Chemistry

My name is Katerina Stathopoulou and I am a fourth-year undergraduate student in the Department of Chemistryat the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

My thesis, in the field of Organic Chemistry, is entitled: “Investigation of new synthetic routes for the development of organic compounds with pharmacological interest,” supervised by Professor Dimitris Georgiadis.

My research interests focus on medicinal chemistry, the organic synthesis of biologically active compounds, as well as the applications of organic chemistry in medicine and pharmacy.
